The Best Present for the Journalist’s Day

6th June is the Journalist’s Day. This day in 1992 Ukraine’s journalists guild was accepted for the International  journalists federation. What to buy to gladden the members of such important, exciting and sometimes hard trade? That’s not easy to choose the gift, ‘cause it must be both nice and utile.

Top-binding notebooks are habitual and customary attribute for the journalists and reporters. This time-tested flip-top design has been adopted for decades by anyone who needs to take notes away from a desk as the best way to quickly capture the crucial elements of the passing scene. The future is unwritten. Take up your pen and shape it.

Moleskine Reporter is a remake of a classical notebook which has been carried in the journalists’ pockets for more than 100 years. It is the most handy for the reporters – actually, it’s named after them. It is convenient for holding suspended, it is opened easily, the binding allows the notebook to be middled, so that the cover doesn’t hinder you writing.

Certainly, each Reporter notebook has all the traditional advantages of Moleskine, which make them be the summit of convenience and usability. Durable cover of waterproof material with rounded corners allows the notebook serve you longer, pages will never be lost ‘cause they are thread bound. Acid-free paper easily recognized for its yellowish hue will keep your notes for a long time, because the ink doesn’t lose color on it. Handy elastic band prevents the notebook to open accidentally and also can serve to fix old pages while you are writing. The inner pocket is good for keeping visiting cards. You can choose ruled, squares or plain one.

The unwritten law admitted among moleskine-lovers all over the world runs as follows: moleskine is not just for writing, but for creation. And as the journalists are quite creative people, Moleskine suits them perfectly. That little black book not only gives the space for creation, but also makes your everyday work pleasant, makes you feel that your notes are something important and meaningful, ‘cause Moleskines used to be “companions” of such famous people as Hemingway, Matisse, and Gertrude Stein.
